Timber frame entry
How do I make a sloping timber to match a 12 an 12 pitch roof ,I used the geometric box by stretching it to make a beam but I cannot get it to slope.

Just manually draw a rafter in the roof plane, then resize and reposition it. Or, draw a polyline solid in elevation.

Do a front elevation, and draw a p-line to be the correct shape.
Then convert it to a p-line solid.
That's how I would do it...I'm sure there's an easier way.Jonathan

The soffit tool also works pretty good. In the options box you can slope and attach to the ceiling. Then you can put wood on it in the materials dialogue. Looks good in 3d.

Thanks I used the rafter method and it was very easy to get the look I wanted.
