Bill:
I'd rather not have to create a symbol (not my forte).
I would like to have roof and floor definitions be just like the wall definitions. Thus, if I have a roof plane that I don't want framed I can just leave out the framing layer for that roof plane definition.

Allen, Lew, and others,
Yes, I agree it would be good to have better control over roof planes, and roof framing. At first I thought that it wasn't much of a problem, but in my work I often don't want to frame existing, and fairly often I need different framing for various roof planes. I can usually find a way to do what I want, but it would be nice to have better control in this area.

Thanks for the replies!
Showing the additional planes one floor up worked as mentioned, I deleted the framing from those and now my original roof plane shows framing properly.
Thanks!!Jorge Araya
