    Fonts

I like the CityBlueprint one. i know there are some who don't because when i went to the chief training seminar bout 2 yrs ago the instructor said he did not like it and quite a few from the class agreed.

my question tho is, i have it on my old computer that i first loaded ca 9.5 on but not on my new one or my laptop. do i have to load 9.5 to get it or is there another way? the plan does not move as easy between pcs if it does not have the same font in the plan.

    what fonts do y'all use?

Chris posts a file with some architectural fonts in this thread. As I posted in the thread I like the MyHand2 font which I think reads stronger and clearer than city blueprint.

Why don't you use the "Blueprintdbt". It comes standard with X1.

Or do you only have 9.5?

    "Blueprintdbt"

One of the advantages of this font is that it has the same spacing and size as ariel so If you send your plan or layout to someone who doesn't have the font that Ariel makes a nice substitution. Tip by Tim O'D

Not sure about the other fonts ???

    thanks, everyone.

    jonathon,

i'm actually still plugging away with CA 10. haven't had enough time to do enough work to justify X1 but will get it first chance (or next time it is 20% off)

    Les.

unzip the compressed file...and extract the fonts to your windows font folder - usually in something like C:\WINDOWS\Fonts

    Question

I used to use cityblueprint, but something unusual occurred and it no longer will come out correctly when I print my plans. I have checked with a variety of tech people and even reviewed print previews where it looks right but just won't print right. I gave up on it, I currently use a font call Technical for right now. It seems to look ok and prints out correctly. I have not heard of Enviro, what is is like? Would be interested in seeing a sample. Thanks.

One of the disadvantages of this font, is you can't use it in MS Word and have the spell check feature work...But it's still my favorite.

Enviro font looks like it might as well be named FLW.
