Hello Aurora,
Did you try changing the main layer in the wall def dbx for your wall components to see if this will work for you?
See how you go with that or try putting the brick walls on a separate layer to your stud walls?
Let me Know if you got it looking right or better?
Cheers
Manuel.

Aurora, your posted pic is very tiny. Hard to see what exactly you mean. I would agree with trying to change the main layer of your walls, as intersecting walls will snap to that layer. Problem is, perpendicular walls on either side of that wall will snap to the same layer.
A larger pic that shows more clearly how your walls are snapping in plan would help a lot. You can go up to 200KB. Reduce your resolution on the pic if necessary, but the main thing we need to see is how the walls are intersecting.

If you can't get what you want by the wall's main layer location, use the new wall setting "Wall Butts Other Walls".

Appearantly, she is still using version 10 so I don't think she has the "Wall Butts Other Wall" feature, so you might try making a very thin and short invisible wall between the two, abutting the end of the intruding wall.

Even with X1 I still have to use cad patches in the trouble spots. I find the ICF walls the most annoying.

Aurora.
If you can afford an upgrade to X1 or if you have X1 Glenn has the Automatic answer for this problem.
If you dont have X1 download the demo open your file in it and try it out.
