Exporting layout file in .dwg
I've created a master layout page for my civil and landscape engineers in CAX1. One is using 2008 AutoCad and the other 2007. Neither can see the text I've placed on the layout page, title block etc. They get the borders and boxes but none of the text. I exported the layout page in AutoCad 2007 and an earlier version, even tried .dxf all to no avail. They just don't get the text. Anything I can do? Settings?

Check the colors of your text and the color of your screen in Acad. Chief exports as pure black, not acad's version that displays as white on a black screen. Set your screen color to grey or white and see what you can see.

I wrote code in 1984 to make my Sinclair 100 - so I used to be a programmer! So I can say with authority how easy it is to program Chief features! ;-)

Thanks! I just had to tell them to reverse the background from black to white and voila!
