    I think this is related to another thread I posted regarding window transparency.
    Chief automatically handles window glass differently than the materials own settings. ie, if you have a default glass material and adjust its properties, Chief will overide these settings because it applies it's own values when the material is set as window glass.

    Select a window that you are having the problem with. Open it's dbx and go to the Materials tab, click on Glass.
    At the top, does the material say Default: "my glass material".

    Now open a window that you are not having a problem with. At the same place, does it just say "my glass material". Note: in this case there is no "Default" wording before the material.
