Installation of free symbols???
Hey guys,
quick question... on some of these free items I click on them after they are unzipped and usually it installs them but a lot of them after I click on them they just open chief and it says incorrect suffix, this is not a plan? Am I doing something wrong? Why will some go to chief easily and some it says this? Im using X1.
Thank you!Chad Cardin

Instructions...
Hey Chad,
Every one of my symbols are in raw form and do not come with a self install as they will work on many different programs, but as I mention on my website:
Each symbol offered is zipped up using WinZip. Most all Windows versions come with an unzipping utility. Or you can download your fee WinZip at download.com. Each zipped up symbol needs to be put in the right directory of the program to be properly installed. Most typical install folder for symbol in Chief X1 is: My Documents\Chief Architect X1 Data\Libraries.
For Chief 10 it is most likley: C:\Program Files\ART Inc\Chief Architect 10.0 Full Version\Libraries
These symbols are as is, and can not, and should not be sold by anyone other then David Michael Designs. Feel free to share them with anyone for free. Please lets us both keep America clean and free...David Michael

David,
This is really wonderful.
Have you considered doing some of the Wayne Dalton carriage house style garage doors? The "carriage house" doors in X1 are ok, but a bit limited

I wrote code in 1984 to make my Sinclair 100 - so I used to be a programmer! So I can say with authority how easy it is to program Chief features! ;-)

David,
I love the shower. The first use of glass block that (to me, anyway) clicks.
Great job.
Thanks,
