Getting Bay Wall Where I Want it, Not Where Chief Wants It

    I am using V10.8a

I enclosed the plan because I dont think I could explain it without the drawing.

This simple bi-level needs "walk out" bay window in the kitchen. Simple with paper and pencil, impossible for me with Chief.

No matter what I try--invisible walls, adding walls, moving walls, Chief always has a better idea and moves the wall where it wants it to be. I know that precision is what Chief is all about so I know it has to be me that is doing something wrong. Anyway, if anyone knows how to get these walls where I wan them would you be kind enough to pass the information along to me?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ed:

Your plan is way too small and unreadable ???

Have you tried placing the walls with snaps off ???
Keep angle snaps on and turn the other snaps off ???

Your back left wall was skewed and the 2 front walls were not lined up. I think this added to your frustration. I drew the outline of the bay with cad first then teased the walls in tih dimensions. Good luck.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the help. I have another plan which needs a bay with foundation bump out so I think I will try it in my CAD (TurboCad) first and then import it.

    Thanks again!

No problem. Hate to tease you, but this is very easy to do without cad in X1. The walls snap.
