    Screened/Covered Porch - Door/Stairs

I'm drawing a screened porch, no screens yet, i add those later...i want a 36" screen door in the center and a simple stair going from deck height to ground level. After i place my door, i draw my stairs - using ALT to reverse the direction so they go down instead of up.

Now, here is my question, when i adjust the width of the stairs in front of the screen door, it also adjusts the door width, see the 2 attached images for illustration. Is there a way to adjust the stair width independently to the door?

As a workaround, move or delete the door, adjust the stairs and then place the door ?

    I hope there's a better solution ???

Yes, but you will need to do it the other way around. Adjust your stair, then adjust your door. Concentric allows you to adjust both sides at the same time.

    Thanks both...

That works. All i was really trying to do was to get the stair railing on the outside of the door frame where it should be...

Thanks for the help...question asked and question answered.
