Tiling Walls And a Arched Soffit
2 questions for using CA 11!
#1 I would like to tile 1 wall and 2 parts of other walls half way up!
I tried tiling 1 wall but it tiled all the walls. I am trying to tile the bathtub surround walls but only half way up.
#2 Also above the tub I would like to put a arch off the back wall.
Added Question!
#3 Is there any good tutorial on basic use of CA 11

You might want to invest in some of X1 Training Videos. It looks like Chief extended their sale. If there is anything to start with it would be the Classroom Design Project Training Video: (click on pricing)
http://chiefarchitect.com/rebates/
Also there is the X1 Help Data Base: http://chiefarchitect.com/support/article_index_x1.php
Then there is Louis and Katys free (and not for long) tutorials: http://www.lfcompany.com/chief_tutorials.php
Allen Brown has some good ones for free: http://indyblueprints.com/Free.aspx
Of course they also offer fee based help as well which from what I hear is well worth it.
I'm fairly new myself so I grab what I can afford and learn what is offered for free.
This forum is a wealth of information if you search past posts as well.

yes
1) select wall>open dbx>materials tab and add you texture there, and you can define the height of material
2) take elevation shot of tub and draw shape of arch with lines to form a pline and then convert to psolid.
3) see Pat's answer aboveD. Scott Hall (The Bridge Troll)

The videos we watch are not 100% gold, but if we find a gold nugget, the time spent viewing has a value.

It appears you are using the trial version - make sure to watch the videos that come with that version. Also when you do decide to purchase Chief you should get the enterprise version as that comes with all the training videos.

[QUOTE][make sure to watch the videos that come with that version/QUOTE]
Are there tutorials in the demo that would be worth watching for newbies that the full version doesn't come with?.........

Found my own answer to the cubbie hole in a wall! Took a while But in the librabry there is geometric shapes. I took the box and made it shallow, adjusted width and height and your good as gold. Thanks
