    Your welcome..
    Do a poll..
Most of the software I buy is last years version from the bargain bin at Staples.Lots of time make a few bucks with the rebates.
Chief is about the only one I keep updating new and that is because I know how to use it..
Don't think I'll spend any more money on Turbo cad unless they have some thing big and useful to me in an update.

I watched it and everything works good with the one wall. I got that to work fine, but when i have a wall on both sides it still only shows the outside of the stairway wall going up the stairs. You showed a picture earlier that had the wall going up both sides of the curved stairway. BTW, you're not far from me, i need to come up for a class sometime.

Have you tried this method yet??

    Fast & Easy:

    BTW,

There is not a single wall in the plan.

No walls, Open stair DBX, "Style" tab, Put a check mark next to "closed stringer", uncheck "open underneath", and under the "materials" tab-set the "riser/trim" to stone.

For the stair pictured on the left, in the "stringer top" box enter 16", and the handrail and balusters will continue on from that 16" up to 34".

For the stair pictured on the right, in the "stringer top" box enter 32", and under the "handrail" tab, set the width to 6".

This method can also be used for drywall walls. The downside is you will not have a separate wood stringer. Bad for drywall walls, but probably correct for stairs inside stone walls.

I actually did try that first and it did not quite give me the look I wanted. Maybe I missed a setting, I'm not sure now that was a couple of days ago.

    Thanks

What if we wanted a freestanding solid concrete stair with solid handrail

This is done using only the stair tools, No walls or building of symbols for hand rails

Just thought I would through that in

These side walls were made of walls (not railing walls) and resized in over head view. Notice how the walls went up thru the second floor. (first pic is 1st flr second pic is second flr). We also have the baseboard if we want it.

    Allen,
Just verifying but I am assuming we cannot change the width of your stone wall (which is the strinter) on the side of the stairs. Is it preset to about 2"?
