    Phantom dimensioning

Not sure what this is...i've checked my layers...i switched to the "All on" layer set and double checked to make sure everything was visible...but nothing.

When i click on my roof plane to adjust the overhang, the temp. dimension grabs...something...out in space.

    Any ideas?

Try a "glass house" view and see if there is something. Other than that...I'm clueless. It's never happened to me.

If you click fill window, does the house plan become tiny?

    I'll bet it's your terrain.

I just thought of it. Something similar to this happend to me a little while ago, and even though my terrain layer was turned off...it still picked it up in the plan view for some reason.

Turn on your terrain, and move that edge farther away, and that should work.

I have had similar problems. I think there are still a few bugs with temporary dimensions.

When temporary dimensions do not pick up what I want, and I don't need to have a dimension display: I run a manual dimension, set it to dimension what I want and place it on my "Layout" (no-plot) layer. This layer is only turned on in a few working layersets but, even when the Layout layer is turned off, that dimensin will pop up as the temporary dimension when I select something (object) that applies.

Another way to say this is: When temporary dimensions don't work for what you want you can set one up that does.
