Walk through a long a path

    Hi Guys & Gals

    X1.4 User.

Trying to use the new walkthrough a long a path tool. Every time I attempt to use this tool I have an information dialog box pop up stating "You must first create and then select a polyline or spline to use as your path to record a walkthrough"
I have followed the help instructions directly how they tell you to do it. Ive used a line to show my path I select all the line segments then go to 3d, walkthrough, record walkthrough along path. Once i do all this the Information dialog box comes up.

I have no problem constructing the walkthough from a 3d view camera although I find that limited.
Has anyone else had this issue or know how to correct my problem. Its probably something very simple although cant seem to figure it out

    Thanks

    Jay

You have to "select" the polyline arc just before you click on the Walk through a long a path tool.

    Jay,

It sounds like you are selecting many individual line segments to form your path.

The path needs to be a continuous polyline - not individual line segments.

You will know when you have a correct path by the available icon in the Edit toolbar.
If you don't get the Record Walkthrough Along Path icon in the Edit toolbar after selecting the line, you haven't got a legitimate path.

Try drawing a single spline to use as your path and see what happens.
