    Front Porch Roof Help

I can't make this work and I am getting frustrated. I keep getting a wierd roof view on the front proch raised entry on this house generated in auto. The porch entry is 12 feet, inside the door is 11, and the rest of the house is at 9 feet clg. heights. Have tried everything I know and can't fix it. How can I fix it. I am running out of hair....

    Thanks

By far, the easiest way is just to correct manually. Or, you can move your interior walls out of the way (or use) temporarily and make a rectangular area, as shown in the jpg. Make both rooms 12' and build roof. You can then replace the interior walls and change your ceiling heights.

This is covered in the training videos. Disc 2 or 3 I think. As I recall, you have to break the shared wall between the house and the porch where the porch walls intersect the main house wall, click on the wall segment and classify it as a knee wall. Then highlight the porch and adjust the ceiling height (raise it I think) then re-build the roof. Select the porch roof and select the join roof plane command and then select the same plane. Doing this manually works also, but tough to duplicate if you accidentally re-build.

Thanks for the responses. I had tried breaking the wall at the door and making the wall a knee wall as discussed in the training videos and that did not work. I also have tried making a false wall inside the house as mentioned above and could not get that to work either. Does this mean I will just have to move it manually (which I am horrible with)?
