Dormer Wall Type @ Elevation Change?
I have created a room in a second story attic space so to speak. The room juts out of the main roofline like a dormer. I need to change the wall type and follow the angle of the main roofline so that the interior materials match that of the dormer room and stairwell, and the exterior material remains in keeping with the remainder of the exterior of the house.
See the pictures below for detail.
Basically I need a wall made of 2 materials, the bottom half of drywall on both sides, and the top half of drywall on the interior surfaces and siding on the exterior surfaces. This wall also needs to change at an angle following the 8-12 angle pitch of the roofline.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

simple as pie... just draw an exterior wall into your space from the outside wall, use the same one as your set default. then go into a backclip cross-section and drag the walls up to the ceiling of your dormer.
edit: you will need to change those new siding walls to pony walls, then you can adjust the materials that showLast edited by ECSURFER84; 01-18-2008 at 08:08 AM.

be sure to work on a real floor as Attics (floor A) won't take room definintions, etc.

Hi Basil
Is that what you want to be called or DR. B?
Open the wall and the same tab you change the roof settings..
This makes it a pony wall but will follow the roof line to..
I learned this from one of Lew's post about a missing door..
Show upper wall was selected............
