    X1 CAD Line Spec?

Am I missing something? When I draw a CAD line, I want it to show immediately. Sometimes it will be under something and I have to go to the Line Spec and check Front Group, Move to Front of Group. Is there a way to make a CAD line always show as a default behavior? Jeff

I feel your pain. Sometimes you lose stuff when you block it. Some details I have to leave unblocked when I send to layout.

can you not check default layer, which is the cad line layer, in the layer manager "bring to front"?

Ric, the only selections that I have available in Layer Display Options are Display, Include In Materials List and Lock. I can't find a Bring to Front option.

My expectation for a CAD line is the same as what I have for a pencil or chalk line. If I use them, I want to see the result immediately. It wouldn't make sense to have to flip a plank over in order to see a line that was just made. In Chief X1 I draw a framing member (joist, roof beam etc) and then put CAD line on top. The line hides underneath somewhere and I have to click and change stuff to see it. The next CAD line requires the same hocus pocus. Is this normal or am I missing something very fundamental?
