    Attic Vent and windows disappear

Why when I regenerate a camera view does the window or attic vent that I have placed disappear? Happens all the time

Interesting, in CA 10 I found that my attic gable walls would loose the material change I put on them on occasion. I wonder if this is related?? I have not done enough in X1 to know if it still happens.

Is the vent/window placed in an automatically generated attic wall or a manually drawn or edited one? I think that's the only time I have had them disappear, when they were located in an edited or manually drawn attic wall. It was due, I think, to the walls/floor/ceilings rebuilding when you regenerate the view. The Auto Rebuild can be unchecked, and you can check Retain Attic Wall. Hope that helps.

I am placing the window into an automatically drawn attic wall. Make sense to me now why this is happening.

    Thanks

Bryce I can not find the "do not rebuild walls" radio button. Do you know where it is.

I've had this problem on gable ends with the attic wall duplicated or out of alignment with the wall below.

It seems like that if I place the window or attic vent in the elevation view....It will rebuild without the window. If I place the window in floor plan view by going to the attic floor, I do not encounter the problem...at least not yet.
