    Chief Help crashes

I have mentioned this before and it is still happening in P3 on a new Vista HP Laptop with NVidia 6800 GO 512 card, 2 Gigs ram.
Help, Index, type in "Cad", scroll down to "to walls", hit the "select" button. Chief says "Not Responding" and will not recover.
I have been dealing with this since X1 came out.

    HELP !

This is possibly a pop-up blocker but could be a corrupt operating system. The help files are compiled CHM. The operating system provides the code to launch and display these.

Another culprit could be the anti-virus you are using. From what I can tell this is not a Chief Architect Issue.

What operating system are you using?

    I am using Vista.

If you have time could you take a look at the garage I sent in to tech support and posted here that has walls coming through the corners? Posted under Wendy's "X13 - No stray Lines" thread

    Thanks

I have never been fond of McAffe.

Does this happen in Windows Safe Mode?

Chief X1.3 won't open in safe mode on this HP Vista laptop, it can't find the dongle and asks me to register but can't complete that either.

For anyone else experiemcing this -After safe mode the windows toolbars changed color, windows sidebar turned white, icons are different and fonts even seem a little stretched - it put the sytem in to classic windows mode and you have to change it back to Vista mode

I avoid Norton but thought McAfee was Ok - what are you using?
