    Roof Issue

How Can I get my main roof to have different attributes as my lower roof. I saw the roof group chk box but cant seem to get it to work. Main roof is exposed rafters and i have a lower porch roof with boxed eaves. Every time I change the eaves for lower roof the main roof changes with it.

Luis, I see no one wants to tackle this. I know that this is going to be a work around. I'm going out this evening but I might play with it later.

    Luis,

Try copying the roof section you want to a new plan, then change to the floor you want it on and paste it there. It worked for me.

Luis, this is extremely easy and fast in V11 especially if you are planning to use Chief's framing for the upper rafter tails. If you're using custom or formed rafter tails, then you'll have to use symbols or solids and transform/replicate over.
