    Alternate Plans and views

What's the best way to design a single house with alternate floor plans and alternate foundations, i.e mono slab, crawl, basement version and/or unfinished attic vs. finished attic space?

Layers? Any other way that's better or accepted practice?

Also, what about lot layout plans... for a sub-division.... i.e. showing the sub-division and house footprint on each lot.... CAD? Any other way or accepted practice?

    Thanks...

I would do separate plan files for each floorplan.

Tommy's right, file>save as, change name to option 2. For a subdivision, use "plan footprint".

To follow up on that, Keep all plan files in the same job folder so that when you do your layout, everything will be associated in the same folder. Needless to say, put your layout file in that folder too.
