Rendering
I would like to get a good quality rendering program that would allow me to create professional looking renderings that I see in the "typical" home plans magazines. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello,
Chief Architect will have much better rendering capability in Version 7.0 which will be realeased sometime early next year. If you are not in a hurry I would recomend waiting before you buy any other rendering software. If you are in a hurry, I know that some of our users are big fans of POV-ray (which is free) and Artlantis. Maybe some other users could tell use what they use and what they like about it.

For ease of use and speed, I use detailed Chief models exported to PaintShopPro or PhotoDeluxe. There are no shadows , but for brochures they look OK. You can see them at http://www.egroups.com/docvault/chief-udraw/ there are 3 renderings there - piperpsp; piperbw and Kuhns.
