    The manual roof tool is still alive and well. I'd even go as far as to say it was vastly improved. We now have a join roof sections button that really is a time saver. There's a couple of other new improvements too.
    About your top plate resizing, why? Top plates are of the same lumber as the framing. I've often used yellow pine for a top plate instead of white, but that was because yellow has more holding power on nails used for hurricane clipping. We can specify the number of plates and even raise the trusses above the top plate, but I don't think we can resize the top plate.
