    Multi-level Decks

I've tried creating multi-level decks by several methods, and frankly, none have worked very well. Either I can't get them to join properly, or in one instance, everything looked great except the lower railing floated above the deck surface. Any tricks of the trade?

I have had to sometimes make a seperate "room" only an inch big between deck sections so the rails would read the right floor level. You might try that.

Here is my 2 cents worth. It seems that Chief has a problem when 2 decks overlap. This means you have to make one of them out of soffits. Of course I do not know if this is the case with you.
    Hope it helps, Jan

Regarding a deck over a deck, I just had some luck calling the lower deck a porch and the upper deck a deck. - Jim

    Tim,

    Yes, you have understood.
I tried with your advice points and got the problem resolved. For now I have only a minor problem which is to get the accuracy on curve radius. May be its centers are not exactly in the intersection of the cad lines cross .

I appreciate your prompt answer to my questions.
    Thank you and best regards.
