What is "S" Annotation on Foundation Plan?
My foundation plan has an "S" annotation indicated in a few places. I'm not sure why it's there and the only consistency of its placement is the proximity to fairly short walls.
How do I turn it off?Don Nicoll

'S' indicates a step in the elevation of the foundation.
There is no switch for it to turn it off.deanwjohnson@hotmail.com

Shutting off "S"
To get rid of the "S" draw a small CAD box and set fill to white and a white line style. Also set for "move to front" . This is essentially "white-out".

I wondered if it had something to do with a step. My problem is that the stem is not stepped (or at least it's not apparent to me). If I can't figure out the step problem then I create white boxes to hide them.
Thanks.Last edited by Don Nicoll; 12-29-2001 at 03:51 PM.

Don-
You can adjust the foundation wall height in cross section views...make them the same height as the adjacent walls and the "s" should go away. This is assuming that you don't intend / need to have a stepped foundation in the first place.
Give it a try...
