    User Group Meeting July?

Due to summer schedules meetings are a little harder to get everyone together so I would like to see who can attend this meeting.

I am offering a user group meeting for Thursday July 19 @ 6:30 pm at my home office. (Feel free to bring your lap tops). We can work on ver 10 and xone. If you are able to attend please confirm with me by email and I will keep you posted. If not I will post the next meeting for August.

    Hello Annette,

Here in Seattle we are trying to increase participation. We also want to have a basic agenda to start off a meeting. What has worked for your group? Are there some interesting topics your group focuses on? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    User group meetings

I first recommend posting to chief’s local user’s website to see how many are interested in your area. If you get a good response then set up the place and time for your first meeting. Having a rear projector with screen helps and we rotate having some one bring snacks. At your first meeting take a poll to see what days are better, week days or week ends. Then start setting your meetings up once a month in advance. This is where you have to keep the commuincation going.

Since the users are at different levels I have them write down their questions in advance so towards the end of the meeting other users are able to help each other. I try to pick topics I know users have trouble with and go from there. Sometimes is best to start with the basics of Chief and work your way up. It is amazing to see what other users come up working with chief (the tips and tricks). There is always something to learn in Chief even if you think you know everything:
