Brian:
Chief has nice electrical tools but the plumbing and HVAC are not so nice. I think it is just done with line styles.
I have X1 but haven't played with it much yet.
I am still doing current projects in ver 10, waiting for a low priority project to start in ver X1.

Brian: The MEP toolbar has been customized with MEP stuff including custom line styles. Of coarse you will want to customize it to your own needs. Select tools/toolbars/customize toolbars/configurations to get there. You may also have an icon in your present toolbar to get there.
