Concrete Apron
I've built the garage, but I can't seem to figure out how to make the concrete apron that slopes down to the actual driveway. How do you make this? Thanks!

Polyline solid drawn in elevation view...low slope roof plane...materials set to concrete.

Well, I pulled down the CAD tab and I wasn't able to selet the "Polyline Solid" option. Would you happen to know why I can't?

Because you're in CAD mode. If you go back to house drawing mode, it will be available. And no, it doesn't make sense to me either.

Well, I got to the "Polyline solid." But, I've not figured out how to adjust the slope. Do you set it as a roof plane? In 3D rendering it doesn't even show it... I'm confused...

You have to draw the polyline solid in elevation view, the select it, pull one edge down, then go back to plan, it will only show as one inch wide, then stretch it to as wide as your garage door. in the picture below, I have it bigger than reality, to show you what I mean.

Well, I was amazed last year just using AutoCad, but we have this now and I really like it. I had 3D Home Architect and it's alot like this program. Of course this one is better though...

3D Home Architect 4 and earlier were the same company as CA..
Now it is Better Homes and Garden software..
I just hope CA doesn't go the way that 3D Home Architect 5 did...........

Also....if you have a terrain drawn with the slopes, use a terrain feature that follows terrain....

I have not seen any one put an apron in in years..
There is a step down in the foundation at the door and then the driveway is up to the foundation..
Are aprons more used in other places?.........
