Porches, Decks and Framing

I have been trying to build framing to show detail in cross sections at deck platform / foundation top and it is driving me crazy! See pics below.

How do you keep the deck framing on the exterior of the foundation and not depressing the top the foundation? I have tried with invisible walls next to house wall but does not always work and seems like too much work. I do not actually show framing and may just go back doing a few cad boxes in the cross sections.

All suggestions and comments appreciated.

ps The 1st section was taken through the plan shown and has got me confused. The 2nd section is taken at a simple deck with railings and is correct,
