    pony wall issue

The top surface of the stone on this ponywall has lost its stone, anyone know what causes this and, more importantly, how to fix it without having to redraw? Thanks Rob

It was aligned to match the framing layer of the upper wall so the stone would have a ledge exposed. It was displaying fine but at some point after I made a 'save as' the top of the stone was not showing in both plans. It was strange and it ruined my original plan and the save as plan.

Question: Will you be specifying a cap for the top of the stone? If so, why not creating a cap with a molding polyline and that will mask the top of your pony wall.

Nope. I wonder if it has something to do with the foundation alignment...

True - Your foundation wall below should be aligned with the framing...THEN have an extra layer for the stone ledge...

Allen, what is your "foundation type" wall. Is that not a pony wall? In regards to my alignment, I may have changed the wall def in the plan on another floor, but the wall and stone was perfect and the model just fine until I did the mystery operation that changed it. I am on to another version for the customer, however I do want to know what happened for future reference.
    Thanks, Rob

    Hi Rob
It is a pony wall.Under the general tab there is a box for foundation.
That gives footings and makes the top of the wall cement..
Your walls look like they have footing..
You have to decide what you need to show=foundation walls or a slab foundation..

IT'S JUST A PONY WALL WITH A FOUNDATION WALL BUILT UNDER IT.
