I just tried it with your dims. with an older version (9.54) and it works well. Don't know what the problem might be.

Curious why the porch floor level only 3" vs the normal step-down? Try setting it to -7", then put the steps in with the shift key. Does this do anything?????

If you ever have to put in a ramp, less is better. You just need enough drop for drainage with slope. I usually use 2 inches.

Thanks Everybody! Found the Prob & Solution

I am a Remodeler so the -3" Porch Level is actually that in reality. These homes from the early part of the 1900's have thick door sills!

This is a drawing of a Brick Porch with Concrete Floor System, the Brick Foundation walls have to come up to top of the concrete floor to simulate this. I had used the "Floor for This Room is Supplied by the Foundation 'Room' from the Floor Below" and that seemed to be the problem. When I unchecked that and then specified the floor thickness off the concrete as 0 (zero), it fixed the problem. Seems like the stair wants to work off the BOTTOM of the concrete, but when the concrete is zero the top and bottom of the concrete is the same.

Just another quirk of the program I will forget by the next time I need it!

Thank you EVERYONE, your kindness and concern is greatly appreciated! Your suggestions showed me the way.

    Sincerely, Clarke
