-3" Porch Level Vs Level of 1st Down Tread
I am using 9.03 so if this problem is a quirk of this version that has been fixed in subsequent upgrades, I will be out of luck.
I have a front covered "Porch" type room that has a -3"(negative 3 inch) Floor Level relative to the 0" Floor Level of the Home. When I create a "Down" Staircase off of this Porch to grade, the first tread (7" Brick Riser, BTW) is only 4" below the Porch. It seems that all stairs function off the 0" Floor Level. For the life of me, I can't figure out to trick this! The "make the first tread a landing" trick mentioned recently does not work because it's Railing is NOT a Stair Railing.
Should I quit trying to find a solution?
I actually prefer to make Brick Steps out of Polylines Converted to Slabs but I haven’t found a quick way to put Railings on them . . .

It has to be mailed, can't be downloaded. At least, that's what I have found in the past. Just never got around to having it mailed.

Dragging it down from the deck works right for me in 10..
You could try having the porch at 0,draw the stairs and then drop the floor, see the stairs go down...........

I think it is still available and is only $20 or so.
The update from 9.5 to 9.53 was a free download.

I just tried it with your dims. with an older version (9.54) and it works well. Don't know what the problem might be.
Curious why the porch floor level only 3" vs the normal step-down? Try setting it to -7", then put the steps in with the shift key. Does this do anything?????Al
As I age I find I'm losing my memory... and that is a load off my mind!
