Allen,
I use invisible instead of doorways because I'm breaking the railing. Then I then use a doorway to make the opening it has to go the entire length of the railing segment. I get the occasional double embedded column, or the doorway shrinks itself - making the opening invisible eliminates an entity, and thus eliminates something that can misbehave.Wendy Lee Welton

Try "no rails for that section with the newels far apart..If you want post to beam..
Just tried the breaks and invisible walls.If you uncheck"no location"
It's a good way to dimention post..
