I wrote code in 1984 to make my Sinclair 100 - so I used to be a programmer! So I can say with authority how easy it is to program Chief features! ;-)

    Jeff:
On post #24 you show your distiller paper settings box, but there is a pull down arrow there for accessing other paper sizes.
Did you pull down that arrow and see if there were larger sizes available?

    Jim,
11x17 is the largest paper size available in my Distiller.

    Wendy,
That would be wonderful! I'll contact you offline.

ok, I just thought I'd check, sometimes people don't see that pull down arrow and understand that there are more options available.

    Good luck with your project.

    Jeff,

I've been reading through all these comments. I'm wondering why you're going through all this PDF hoopla. Can't you just export the plan as a DXF or DWG file? This would avoid scaling issues (there is no scale, other than full scale) and your architect would have a much more usable format to just import into his own program. Wendy suggested this initially, and I think you have a misconception about it.

When your architect gets the DXF or DWG file, it will be at full scale, and then he can scale it to whatever scale he wants in his own CAD program. You don't need to rescale it for him.

You guys - don't sweat it. I decided my hair would spontaneously burst into flames with frustration reading this thread. So, he's sending me the stuff and I'll just make him some plan and elevation pdf's and dxf's. This poor guy is just doing this one thing, not making a career of it. Sometimes you just do some stuff so everybody can move on.

It must smell great in your office after you put the fire out.
