1/1/2 story
New problem. Got my 2 story with the 1 1/2 story attached. Want to attach a garage to the 1 1/2 partwith bedroom above with full 8' ceilings. Drew the walls on floor 1. Went to floor 2 and drew walls above garage there using reference floor. When I click on walls they show but it won't let me open the room like it doesn't exist. Any ideas? Thanks Dennis

You probably have a minor gap between walls, so that they aren't forming a complete enclosure.

Open the wall DBX and make sure that the wall wasn't designated as a "no locate" or "attic" wall. Just check the box next to it if so. I've had that problem a couple of times on 1 1/2 story homes.
