Brick Texture
I know I have asked this in the past but I am still having problems figuring this out. I am trying to create Raytrace Rendering but my brick texture is not showing up the way it should. When I go try to change my brick type, looking at the picture below, it's showing my brick hatch pattern but I can't figure out why it's not showing the brick texture.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Have you created a material for the brick texture ?
If yes, open the material dbx in edit mode and verify that on the texure tab the directory path is pointing to the texture .JPG

It's weird because in my library materials box I have the brick textures folder and for some reason that folder contains all the brick hatch patterns that I need. Then there are seperate folders for the Boral and Dapper Brick's that I use that have the actual textures. I just don't know how to get them to work together.

Rick,
There is a convert textures to materials tool. You can convert the entire folder of brick textures.

I have done this before and it's still not working correctly. When I convert the materials to textures it puts them in my library but it won't have the brick hatch pattern associated with the textures.

It looks to me like you don't have both a pattern and a texture assigned to the material..

The path to the pattern needs to be set on the pattern tab in the material specification dbx also.

Rick at this point you do need to assign a brick pattern to them. Right click on a brick open and assign brick as the type.

It looks like he has the pattern but not the texture..
I just looked and my bricks that I brought in don't have the texture..
Once you bring an image in as a material, you can open it and assign a texture..I use the rainbow tool to open them..
Plan material=edit might work...........
