    Thanks Doug
Slabs show on the floor they were drawn.Louis seems to like them better than poly solids.I need to remember to use them more..
Shouldn't you be doing this by hand rather than CA for historical purposes?

    Allen,

I normally now like to use slabs when working in plan view and solids when working in elevations.

    Allen,

One thing to remember... If you draw a slab in plan view. The bottom of the slab will be at floor height. With that said, if you draw a slab on the second floor, the slab will be at the floor height of the second floor. If you draw a solid in plan view, it will always be placed at "0" height which will be the 1st floor no matter if you draw the solid on the 2nd floor.

    I just checked
Slabs can not be adjusted in elevation view.
Think we need a tool that works in both views.
Doug's chimney is straight so no problem.
I did a suggest before about chimneys being editable like polysolids..

That is correct. In many respects, chief is a mode program so to speak. If you draw your slab in plan view, it can't be edited in an elevation. Just like many things drawn in an elevation can't be edited in plan view.

    Hi Greg
I think that is a screen capture software.I use Screen Shot because I have it.If you have any BorderBund software,it may be on the disk as extra software.Might already be installed to,check the drop down list under all programs..
