    soffit and ceilings

designing a kitchen ceiling that is coffered. created it by using a hip and raising ceiling as per book. How would one edit it? Also need to put soffits under it. What would be best way to do this? Dennis

This depends on other factors in your plan.

Seems that unless you have a flat area out a foot or two from your walls, that you would not want to include a soffit. But, being creative, one can come up with all sorts of interesting design features. You may have to use something besides the soffit tool to attach a soffit to the sloped tray ceiling.
