Chief won't talk to new printer.
Hi all,
I have bought a new HPK850 printer and set it all up. It is online and printing well, but Chief wont talk to it. My previous default printer was a Canon and I have taken it offline and set the new HP as the default printer. However when I go to print a layout the dialogue box still shows the Canon as the prefered printer. Shouldnt Chief be automatically be printing from whatever I set as the default?
If anyone has any ideas or knows of a setting in Chief that is eluding me I would be grateful.
Thanks.

Try clearing the printer info. Do this while a layout is open File/Print/Clear printer info.

Hp 110 Plus/xp
Just got new plotter yesteday,,Could print in MS Word and a test sheet.
Could not print from layout in Chief,...Called HP and found out that if a file is more than 12 characters you will get a Error message. By renaming the file to less tha prescribed I was able to print this.
HP is presently working on a new driver for XP.
I am assuming that you are using XP.
Hope this helps.
