I guess you can do a lot more wall editing in a cross section window, moving, copying and adjusting sizes apposed to doing them in a wall detail window.....

Been thinking about this..
Barns or this type of thingare not that cut up..
I would do it manually.
Create the slab foundation
Frame the walls with polys or framing,
Then use a poly solid for the wall covering.
Not sure yet about placing window, maybe an invisible wall..
May give it a shot if I remember...........

Pole barn
Hey Guys,
I don't know if you've seen it or not, but in the sample plans for 9.54 there is a complete pole barn. I didn't look at it that close but the walls seemed right. The rafters looked odd. Its titled, (of all things) "Pole barn".

Thanks !!!
Thank you all very much, especially Jim, for your work on this. Sorry I have not posted lately, I had been out of the office for a while, and I did not expect a response with so much interest. Looks like I have "struck a cord" with this one. With such a powerful program as Chief, it should be something "do-able" right?. I am currently trying out some of these suggestions. Thanks again! Don't stop. Let's conquer this!

Randy-- In CA's Help Database look up Article 517. It goes thru the steps to build a pole building in CA.
