And the word is word
Have you tried saving as a Word document.
Your privacy is important to us, your personal details will handled discreetly, and will not be shared with anyone except the CIA, FSB, MI6 or similar, then they will be placed on a USB stick and left on a bus.

Why import into Chief ?
Create your layout in Chief and print to PDF
Then use PDFEDIT995 (it's free) to merge the two PDF's into one
new MASTER PDF. You can even re-order pages as you do it.

Lew, - Can you merge a letter size PDF onto say a 24x36 ARCH D pdf and move it around on the larger page? Or are you referring to adding say a letter size page to a larger Layout set of pages?
Another suggestion that I can make is to save the PDF as an image file (I generally save as a .tif file), size it to at least 150 dpi (300 dpi is better) in an image program with good contrast and sharpness, then use an OCR program like OmniPage pro to convert it to text and then import the text.ggodwin

if it is text..why not simply copy/paste(the reader allows you to select text) into a chief text box?

George:
PDF995EDIT can take pages from PDF A and merge them with pages from PDF B in any order, but I have only used it with PDF's of the same size 18 x 24 so far.
