Ok so I got the split level and everything to work but is it possible to change the railing around the open below to wrought iron? the only wrought iron I can find is in fencing and I was wondering if it is possible to just change the existing railing to be wrought iron without having to delete and redraw?

Randall,
you are using a landing for this correct?..if so the stair way controls the rail type...so open a stair section that connects to it and set the rail, newels and balusters for it there... you can find some wrought iron balusters in the millwork>balusters, newels& posts>twisted(i like that name)
if you use railing walls to define the area, you can use the individual balusters or use the panel as allen describes...Tim O'Donnell

How would I do it? I followed the instructions in your last post and it comes with all the balusters twisted and I want it to alternate twisted/straight/twisted
