    Weird text problem

I have just started getting an unusual issue with text in a particular plan, and am hoping someone has some ideas, beyond what tech support tried.

With any font other than Arial, the text truncates upon placement, unless I manually stretch the text box afterwards. So if I type "This is a test", what I see upon placement is "This is a ", and then stretching the box the full text line comes in.

Tried every possible combination of auto-height/width, played with margins, etc. Nothing works that tech support or I could find. Anyone else have this problem before and find a solution?

I started looking at this on my machine and found a bunch of wierd problems. Probably associated with alpha installers. I rebooted my machine and now my fonts are ok again.

Did we get a copy of that plan?

This is an oddity that happens in all of my plan files. Any font...any size...will result in a truncated text box. Often times I will retype the text for a given room...like "BEDROOM"....to "Bed Room No. 1". The text invariably gets clipped...and the box looks like Bed Roo....m No 1. "CLOSET" when renamed look likes Close....t.

I just stretch the box... and have learned to accept this as a normal part of the software.

Yes, this has always happened with Room Labels. (Not that it should.) However, this is happening with standard text on the initial placement. Hasn't been a problem in the past and isn't in other plans.
