Floor platform recessed into top of basement wall

I'm trying to get chief to let me hang the 1st floor platform on the inside of the top of the basement wall.

The "stop at wall" check box works fine to eliminate the western platform framing, but if I spec the floor height below the 1st floor, it doesn't work.

How can I get the 1st floor to be between the tops of the basement wall, not between the 1st floor walls?

That is a fairly typical detail for me. Too bad there is no easy solution.

This is one of those areas where Chief's automation can get in the way. I have always wished that Chief was less dependent on rooms to define floor and ceiling assemblies and less dependent on ceiling heights of rooms to define wall heights. They are both issues that make anything other than standard western framing more difficult to do.

You can adjust the top of wall and add the floor framing manually then perhaps use "Auto Detail" and make any adjustments necessary. I don't like auto detail because it gets in the way of design revisions.

I find it is easier to use outline building sections, with minimal detail at 1/4" scale (max.), to bubble reference larger scale CAD details.

I think the room dbx, structure tab should have an option for
    "ledger framing".

Video #810 shows the steps but there are too many of them for what should be just another 'standard" framing option.
