Concrete Wall for GARAGE
I can't seem to find the default setting for stem wall height in a garage -- can someone tell me where that might be? I Don't mean by clicking on the room and changing my settings - I mean the default that sets the values so never to be set again :-)
thanks

"Edit - Default Settings - Foundation - Minimum stem wall height (including mudsill)" per plan or for all future plans in your "profile.plan or template plan"

Louis,
I opened a blank plan and set and reset the setting and it did change by actual test. I did not test changing the setting it in a profile.plan or template; that I will take on faith from you - thanks for the correction.

David,
Did you have more than one room? Did you name one of the rooms garage? Did you auto build the stemwall foundation with the other room at a different height?
Is that what you find GR?

yep - 24" -- the thing is we have to step the wall down from 48" to 96" anyway (from garage to main building) so the effort is manual 100% of the time regardless ---

Louis,
Actually when the default setting is reset "Minimum stem wall height (including mudsill)" in a plan or profile/template plan it did save. That is true by testing. It is also true that when you name a closed space "Garage" that Chief does alter the stem wall height for that room just as you predicted. So we are both "right" or righter than I at first thought. Thanks for making me look more thoroughly; this way I learned something too!
