New and Existing on same 3d image
Hey, everyone remember loading Chief fromt he CD's? All those pretty pictures that zip by as you install? There is one 3d splash screen image where the existing house is shown as "glass house" and the new addition is shown as a colored 3d Chief image. I like this. But I'm wondering if this was done using photoshop magic or if I'm lucky, it was all done in chief???

A picture is worth a thousand words. :-).
This is what I've done using photoshop, but I was hoping its possible to do all inside Chief.

I assume that ART also used photoshop for their splash screen image? I guess its not possible todo in chief. I was thinking it would make for a good image for the cover sheet.

Unfortunately, Chief can't do this.

I like the two legs helping to hold up the glass house on the right...

Are those load bearing legs? What is their capacity...I have some home that would be accented well by a pair of legs....
Photoshop....a nice choice for enhancing what isn't in reality.

Afternoon JT
I can't find the tread but I asked the same question sometime ago and ART came back and said I had to use another program like Photopshop to get that glass look.
At the time I remember saying " don't you think that if you use this in your advertising you would think it can be done...."
Too bad though, for it is a good idea.

Lately, I have been setting the wall material via the wall dbx to glass and that does give this effect somewhat. I suppose the ceilings and floors and roof and fixtures could all be set to glass material but I find it effective enough to just set the walls.
I found that I can set one wall to glass material and then use the eyedropper to set the others rather quickly.

Lew
That's sounds like an interesting path to try. Any chance of posting something to see the possibilities.

1) Use the Cross Section Slider to create two views and export each image when done
2) Create New Images under the tools menu and set the transparencies of the images. Set them not to rotate in plan, and set the icon to display to be a line.
3) Carefully place them in the plan.Dan Park,
