Ba Humbug!
I just finished a set of plans with 13 sheets in the layout. I printed the entire set using my Cannon 5000 11 x 17 color printer for proofing.
The results were very good and with only minor corrections I was ready to prepare the pdf files to take to the printer to get the 18 x 24 plans done.
Well, to make a painful story short, I used two different pdf programs, pdf factory and cutepdf. At first I printed all 13 sheets. This failed.
I found that all would print except page 2 which had a ,jpg and two CAD items.
So I switched to the second pdf program and found page 2 printed very well but one of the major .jpg's from page 1 was missing.
To get the job done I ended up taking page one from one program and the other pages from the second program.
Anyone every had a problem like this? if so, what did you do to correct it?

I print large files to PDF's all the time. No problems at all. I wish I could help.
Is the PDF with all the pages being created? Is this a print problem or a PDF problem?
It sounds like a memory issue to me.Last edited by louis; 04-26-2006 at 07:21 PM.

This might be one time where the "real" Adobe Acrobat pays off. Yeah, it's more expensive initially, but there's a lot you can do with it that the other programs don't have, and it's been MUCH more reliable for me.

Amen to that Richard, Acrobat 7 is the only way to go for a lot of reasons if you're in business. Also though, I can't imagine running off to the printer every time I needed a plan printed. Any designer, architect, or draftsperson should have a full size printer on site. These are tools of the trade, and part of the overhead (and tax deduction ).

"it just money"
And 13 pages of work, a trip to the printer, back again to do work-arounds, back to the printer, late for appointment, embarrased because print did not come out right and no time to redo, reschedule appointment with client, more work-arounds, back to printer, back to client......just money?George VanDusen, CPBD, CKD, CID
