    I'd like everybody to do me a favor

    This isn't really a Q & A, but this section gets the most traffic, and we'd like a decent sample.

    This will only take a few seconds; we're gathering information for version 11.

    Please go to the Edit menu, and then open the Preferences dialog. From the list on the left, select the Render category. There should be a group on the bottom right labeled "OpenGL Driver Status". In the status box, the OpenGL version your card is running should be listed (please don't confuse it with the GLU version). Please let us know what it is by entering it into the poll at the top of this thread.

    ...I am running an nVidia GeForce7800GS graphics card with nvidia's 81.98 driver...which in turn supports opengl v2.0.1

    It sure will be. That's why we're asking. We want to know what we can expect in our user's machines.

    ...just skimmed the body of the post and replied w/o looking at who posted it.....when I looked at it after posting i realized then who it was from...that is why I removed that part, but you were quicker than me on your reply
