    Dormer wall artifacting

Hello, I'm having the following issue (attached .jpg) in chief with the walls underneath the dormers continuing on. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

Are you working in version 10.07a?
And did you build a auto dormer?

In ver. 10 we can create dormers automatically, and depending on the type of house your have 2 choices for type of dormer.
The automatic dormers are much easier and do not create the problems you are having.
Read the dormer section of your Manuel.
    Some rules:
The dormer assemblly (roof, walls, etc.) must fit within one roof plane.
The "auto floating dormer" does not need a knee wall to be placed in the roof.
The "auto dormer" needs to have knee walls to be placed in the roof.

    Thanks Gary,

I'd really rather not recreate all the dormers...as this plan was ready to send to the printers yesterday before I changed some roof dimensions.

Does anyone know any other fixes?

    Thanks,

    AG

If you will send the plan I will look at it. I am pretty good with roofs and am sure I can figure this out.

Try breaking walls where you don't want them, roof cuts wall at bottom ..
It looks like other problems with roof in spots to..

Make 2 copies of your plan, send one to Lavor and try putting dormers in the other one while your waiting. It's just a copy so it does not matter!
This is a good way to learn CA.

That is an extremely nice offer from Lavor to help, but it is not teaching you how to get it done.

There is a section on the garage roof that cannot be addressed with an auto dormer, so I still need a fix.

Great idea Lavor, it is really nice to take time

Sometimes an auto dormer will not fit next to a hip, but you can place it away a couple of feet, explode it, then move the components it into position and adjust it as you need.

I would assume you have to do the same thing for asymmetrical dormers?
