Manually change dimensions
I dimension my plan from a cad detail, then took it to layout thinking I can maually change the dimension. Is there a way you can manually change dimensions? Thanks all!

If you mean to not move the cad line and adjust the measurement, but to change the text of the dimension string overriding the actual dimension, then you can float a text box with a manually typed dimension over it to cover it up.

Why don't you do all your dimensioning in an elevation? Then send it to the layout. If you save the elevation, you can edit the elevation and it will update the layout. That's what I would do.

I'm assuming your dimensions are in the cad detail and sent to layout from there. I wouldn't do any detail in the layout either.
Simply make a text box with the dimension you want, and rotate it the same direction as the dimension, and place it on top of the dimension string. May have to fill the box with a white fill to cover.
