Toilet in the Doorway!!!
I have no idea what happened but all my doorways have toilets in them and I can't get rid of them. They don't show on the floorplan only in 3D mode. Any ideas?

i would have to see the plan
one thing that comes to mind..is it a custom door?
if the 3d dwg for a custom door were of a toilet, you could get this

please make usre answer gets posted. It is kind of funny, but you never now when some of us might have something like that happen, and in the back of our minds we will say , oh yeah , or look in the SEARCH if it ever works again
for now , can you just cadblock your own doors, and put them there
I know its not the answer, but maybe you can get your plans done for nowLast edited by Niuoka; 01-25-2006 at 10:10 AM.

Sorry for the post, but I was laughing when I read it.
Try clicking on the toilets or deleting the ones that are there.
I thought of layers to,but just guessing..
Like Tim said without seeing ,don't know...........

You could delete the walls and then re-do ?
Maybe place a wall break to remove only that section of wall then extend rest of wall to fill in the gap so you don't lose positioning of wall.

Ok I'll give this stuff a try shortly.
They are indeed custom doors that I've used for well over a year, I am in 9.54 by the way. All of a sudden this one just shows up in 3D mode, and when I go to the Library all the doors that show as being open have, you guessed it, toilets in them. Seems very odd.

After looking through the library a little more carefully some of the doors have sinks and not toilets. This has got to be some sort of a joke... I know the others in the office got a good kick out of the toilet in the doorway.

First Image is the floorplan of the home, it does have 2 floors and is about 4000 sq.ft, as you can see there is no toilet in the doorway coming in at the bottom center. Image 2 shows the 3D view with the toilet parked right in the way.

someone has right clicked on a door listing in the library, then used the open symbol from the menuu and changed your 3dDwg...you will need to do the same to technique to replace the toilet dwg with the one for the door you want to use...

I am the only one that uses Chief in this office and I have no idea how to do what you are saying. Can you explain in a little more detail how I go about fixing this? The doors were created over a year ago by another chief user and have worked fine until today...

Hopefully this trouble didn't just sort of pop up during a client presentation.

Luckily no. But I'd like to get it sorted out before the next presentation.

Actually Greg, you're onto something. I've noticed the latest and greatest Italian designers doing just this for interior doorways. It's kind of an ice breaker. Once the ice is broken, simply press a button and the toilet lowers into the floor.
